The Awka South Local Government Area has awarded educational grants to 50 outstanding students from various secondary schools across the LGA. The scholarship program, now in its fifth year, continues to support academic excellence and human capital development.
Selection Criteria
Students were selected based on:
- Academic performance (minimum of 5 A1s in WASSCE)
- Financial need assessment
- Community involvement and leadership
- Entrance examination scores
Grant Details
Each recipient will receive:
- ₦100,000 annual stipend for books and materials
- Full tuition coverage for their chosen institution
- Mentorship from LGA officials and community leaders
- Internship opportunities during holidays
